Peter Bagge - Creator of Hate and Neat Stuff

Peter Bagge's HateAppearance courtesy of Fantagraphics Books

Location: Tables 104-105

By common consensus, Peter Bagge is the funniest cartoonist of his generation. Bagge is probably best known for the 1990s comic book series Hate, which followed the exploits of the slacker ne'er-do-well Buddy Bradley (and managed to show probably the truest representation of Seattle during the "grunge" boom and bust). But the Buddy Bradley saga is only a small part of Bagge's oeuvre, which saw its first glory days in R. Crumb's Weirdo Magazine (which he edited for several issues) and continues to expand to this day as he appears in Reason, MAD, Discover, and the Weekly World News.

"American satirical cartooning at its most inventively hilarious." – Publishers Weekly

"Sheer genius." – Maximum Rock N Roll

Scott Schwartz

Scott grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He played Football, Baseball and Ice Hockey in School. He graduated high School and attended College at Temple University. He became a Professional Wrestler and was trained by Wrestling great Walter "Killer" Kowalski. He wrestled initially as Giant David, and later changed his name to Joshua Ben-Gurion-The Israeli Commando. Scott toured the world as a Professional Wrestler and held many titles. He wrestled in such places as Japan, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, American and Western Samoa, Fiji, Tonga, Guam, Hawaii as well as 40 of the other 50 United States, and every Province in Canada. Scott wrestled for such great promoters as Verne Gagne, Vince McMahon, Antone "Ripper" Leone, Bruno Sammartino, as well as many others.

Scott SchwartzScott never wanted to be an actor. While wrestling on tour in California, he was approached by an agent who had seen him wrestle on TV.  He told him he thought he had ability and thought he should try to enter the field of Performing Arts.  He took him up on his offer and pursued a career as an Actor. Early in his career, Scott was asked to perform roles involving some sort of Fight Scene. He was always up to the task. Because of his Professional Wrestling background he was able to breeze through hours of grueling combat, while protecting the person he was fighting from harm. Because of his size, agility, ability to carry out dialogue, and mean looks, Scott gets alot of roles as a bad guy in Films and Television.

He has appeared in many films including Ocean's Eleven (as "Bruiser"), Ocean's Twelve (returning as "Bruiser"), Ocean's Thirteen (returning as "Bruiser"), Fun with Dick and Jane (with Jim Carrey), Starsky & Hutch (2004), The Scorpion King (Torturer), Spider-Man, Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas, and Fire Down Below with Steven Seagal. Scott SchwartzScott has completed his training, and has become a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy, and is currently involved in Law Enforcement in Southern California. During Scott's free time he makes many trips to Children's Hospitals throughout the world. He focuses his attention to Child Life Wards, which treat children with Life threatening illnesses. He visits and signs pictures for the Children. His endeavors in Child Life Units really began in 1998 when Scott lost his Sister Beth to Lung Cancer. At that time doctors told him that a happy, upbeat attitude of the patient is a key factor in battling this tragic disease.
